Red Raspberry Leaf Tea: Benefits, When to Take it & Delicious Recipe

ree

If you're in your third trimester you probably know or already take Red Raspberry Leaf tea!

I start taking it at 28 weeks with 1cup a day, and go to 2 cups a day at 37 weeks. But, you'll find a lot of information out there on when to start and how much to take (varying from start date up until 34-35 weeks even) so this is why I recommend you asking your healthcare provider.

POTENTIAL LABOR BENEFITS:

  • Strengthen the uterus to warm up for labor

  • More effective contractions

  • A shorter / faster labor

  • Reduced interventions

  • Reduced risk of pp hemorrhage

This tea isn't the most delicious on its own so, here's my fav way of making it yummy!

1. Squeeze in lemon / add slices when brewing

2. Add a scoop of Manuka honey (great for immunity too) and let it melt

IF WARM: You can drink as is or add a splash of coconut creamer (or your fav one).

Plus, optional, add a teaspoon of coconut magnesium (especially beneficial if you’re drinking it right before bed) for better / faster / deeper sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, and for pregnancy benefits too like keep a healthy blood pressure, reduce muscle aches and cramps, can help prevent preterm labor, and helps baby build strong bones among other benefits

IF COLD: Also obsessed with this one. Since it’s already sweetened with the Manuka honey, i simply add it over ice and top it off with a splash of unsweetened lemonade.
