Third Trimester Pregnancy Smoothie

I love smoothies especially as a busy mom, and through pregnancy and postpartum when it’s hard to meet our high nutrient demands.


Here is an ideal smoothie recipe for the end of the third trimester after 35 weeks:

  • 6oz Milk of choice

  • 1 scoop Protein powder

  • Handful Mixed frozen berries

  • 3 big dates

  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds


This smoothie is packed with antioxidants, fiber and protein. It also helps our energy levels, balance blood sugar, prevent iron deficiency and avoid or improve constipation and hemorrhoids.


Dates are also ideal at the end of pregnancy to help soften and open the cervix. However, you should not eat dates if you have gestational diabetes.


Tip: If you’re not 35weeks + yet, you can simply pass on the dates for now!
